Obituary

Curtis Johnson, 92, Halsted, died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation, Halstead. He was born in Halstead, the son of Jacob and Susie Koehn Johnson on September 25, 1913.

On October 6, 1937, he married Esther Unruh at Newton. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2004.

He was a retired custodian for tue USD 440 Halstead-Bentley School District. He was a member of the Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church, Halstead.

Survivors include nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin John and Clarence Johnson and sisters Amanda Smith and Juleita Koehn.

Services were held July 20 at the Church. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery. Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead was in charge of arrangements.
