Obituary

Kenneth B. "Grandpa" Lord, 68, died March 28, 2006 at his residence in Newton. He was born December 29, 1937 to George C. and Jessie Bond Lord in Newton. They preceded him in death.

He married Cheryl J. Sullivan December 11, 1991 in Wichita. She survives of the home. He retired from the Santa Fe railroad with 27 years of service.

He was an Eaagle's Club member for 46 years serving as president from 1999 to 2001. He was a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He served as president of the Harvey County CB Aaan "SNAFU". He belonged to several billards and bowling leagues for 16 years. He was a member of the ARK cycle club.

He loved his children and grandchildren. Other survivors: sons, Robert C. and Jeanine Lord, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Richard M. Lord of Foyil, Oklahoma; and Kenneth E. and Christy Whitt-Abel of Newton; daughters, Sherri L. Welcon, Kansas City, Kansas and Sabrina B. and Jay C. Wassall of Sedgwick; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Services were h eld March 31 at First Christian Church. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
