Obituary

Luella F. Mueller, 93, lifelong Halstead resident, died February 20, 2006 at Asbury Park Nursing Center in Newton. She was born January 16, 1913 at Alta Mills, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Friesen Lohrentz. Both preceded her in death.

On April 28, 1935 whe married Alfred P. Mueller at Dalhart, Texas. He preceded her in death March 10, 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of First Mennonite Church; Halstead Hospital Auxiliary and "76" Quilters, all in Halstead and Esther Rebekahs Lodge 458 IOOF, Newton.

Survivors: sons, Jerry Mueller and wife Dolores, Woodstock, Georgia and Glenn "Alfie" Mueller and wife, Kris, Halstead; sisters, Dorothy Ediger, Halstead and Nora Jane Schmidt, Inman; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Quinton Lorentz and sisters, Irma Alden and Ruth Froese.

Committal service was February 22 at Halstead Cemetery.
