Paden, Richard

The Burrton Monitor

We are greatly pained at this writing to announce the death of Richard S. Paden. Mr. Paden had just arrived at his majority, being 21 years and five days old at his death. When in his 17th year he became a member of the Christian Church and remained a devoted member until the time of his death. He was unwell when he returned a few weeks since from Stephens county. His sickness gradually developed into a raging fever, and, although a number of physicians were called to his aid, he was compelled to succomb to this disease which seemed beyond the reach of medical skill. Mr. Paden was extemely moral during his entire life, and was greatly respected by all who knew him. Universal regret is everywhere expressed as all feel that they have lost an esteemed friend. His parents have certainly lost a noble child and his brothers and sisters a kind and watchful brother. We join with the entire community in expressing our condolences and sympathy for the bereaved family.
