Obituary

Wanda J. Hunt, 84, Hertzler Clinic cashier, died on Wednesday (May 9, 2012) at Sedgwick Healthcare Center in Sedgwick.

She was born on Nov. 22, 1927, in Medora to Peter and Laura M. (Dick) Nachtigal. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Burrton, Lakin Township Happy Homemakers EHU, Sedgwick Red Hat Society and Sedgwick Senior Center. On Aug. 10, 1948, she married Ivan H. Hunt in Burrton, and he survives in Sedgwick.

Other survivors include sons, Jeff Hunt of San Francisco and Terry Hunt of Topeka; and a brother, Roy (Ann) Nachtigal of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Robert Nachtigal.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead, with Pastor Mike Graber officiating. Burial will follow at Hunt-Shive Family Cemetery in rural Burrton. Memorials may be given to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church or HospiceCare of Kansas, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home of Halstead.
