Obituary

Robert L. Neuway, 78, died October 20, 2006 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born July 2, 19 at Burrton, son of Edward L. and Mary A. Roberts Neuway. A resident of Burrton most of his life, he worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 38 years, retirintg in 1982. He served on the Board of Directors and was the Operations Manager for Pipeline Testing Consortium Inc., Hutchinson.

He was a lifetime member of the Emmett H. Neuway American Legion Post No. 196, Button. He served in the United States Army from April 1948 to April 1952. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He married Earlene Findley on October 14, 1950 in Newton. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Vergi Geurian, Hutchinson; son, Mike Neuway, Hutchinson; two brothers, Keith Neuway, Mt. Hope and Ronald Neuway, Burrton; two sisters, Betty Jean Collins, Jamestown and Beth Hunter, Wichita; 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Neuway.
