Obituary

Luella Opal Penner, 89, died on Thursday, Novemer 23, 2006 at Newton Presbyterian Manor at Newton. She was born August 28, 1917 at Halstead, daughter of Ezias and Dena Unruh Koehn.

She was a graduate of Halstead High School. luella was a Harvey Girl during WWII and looked forward to camping trips with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and loving family. She was a member of Newton Bible Church.

On June 14, 1944 she married John Penner at First Mennonite Church, Newton. He survives of the home.

Other survivors: one daughter, Teresa (Dennis) Stahl, Hesston; grandson, Justin, granddaughter, Raynel Dobson, McPherson; brother, Allen Koehn, Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronny Penner; sisters, Mamie Eck; Ethel Melby and Lola Schuessler.

Services were held November 28 at Newton Bible Church. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
