Obituary

Vera Ellen Grubbs, 87, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinsdon. Her residence is listed as Dodge City and formerly of Hugoton and Minneola.

She was born January 23, 1920 to Cornelious F. and Nora Ellen Berger Fast at rural Burrton. In 1940 she married Chester Good at Hutchinson. He died July 18, 1941. She later married Glenn Morton Grubbs at Burrton December 30, 1945. He died July 8, 2006.

Her occuation was homemaker. She was a member of the Burrton Christian Church; Navy Mothers Club; Minneola Garden Club and the High Point Unit, Hugoton. She was a 1938 graduate of Burrton High School and a graduate of Salt City Business College.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Larry B. Good and his wife, Suzanne Hays, brother, Melvin Fast, Burrton; sisters, Carol Unruh, Burrton and Elsie Horton, Chapin, Souoth Carolina; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Services were held Marsh 20 at the Burrton Christian Church. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
