Obituary

Charles Edward "Chuck" Hill, 89, died January 19, 2007 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born June 13, 1917, son of Clayton S. and Edna Siegrist Hill. He was a lifetime Burrton community resident, graduating from Burrton High School in 1935. His occupation was farming. He belonged to the Burrton United Methodist Church.

On March 19, 1939 he married Phyllis B. Rife in Preston, Kansas. She died September 20, 1998.

He is survived by daughter, Marva and husband, Ron Crecelius, Burrton; brother, Robert S. Hill Sr., Wichita; sister, Marge Mitchell, Wichita; two grandsons; three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Vernon Hill; two osisters, Ruth Reed and Helen Watkins.

Services were held at Elliott Chapel in Hutchinson on Saturday, January 27, 2007. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
