Obituary

Bruce Unruh, 81, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at his residence in Halstead. He had been a Halstead resident for 60 years. He was born in Newton July 3, 1925 to Arthur D. and Katherine Wiens Unruh, both deceased.

He married Colleen Thornhill on January 19, 1947 at Halstead. She survives. He was a retired assembler for American Coach Company and custodian at the First Methodist Church in Halstead of which he was a member.

Survivors: sons, Morrie and Tanis Unruh, Newton; Brad and Pattie Unruh, Hutchinson; daughter, Janeen Unruh, Halstead; brother, Bob Unruh, Lakewood, Colorado; sister, Marilyn Kaufman, Hutchinson; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother, Gene, infant brother, Paul and grandson, Kerry Ray Davis.

Services were held at the Church on May 4 with burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
