Obituary

Alberta M. Behymer, 80, died March 3, 2008 at Asburn Park, Newton. She was born December 31, 1927 at Wichita to Paul and Violet Marie Fawl Sagerty. They preceded her in death. She attended schools in Wichita graduating from Wichita North High School in 1945.

She was employed as a stockwoman at the George Innes Department Store. She then worked for the Hartford Insurance Company as a clerk and typist at the Wichita Union Stockyards. It was there she met Bruce L. Behymer. They married February 24, 1961 at Sedgwick Christian Church parsonage in Sedgwick.

He preceded her in death June 14, 2004. After marriage, she became a homemaker, raising her family and working as a "farmer's wife". She enjoyed baking, cooking and gardening and canning her own pruduce. She enjoyed dancing very much.

Survivors: sons, Gary Vinson, Topeka; Gruce B. Behymer, Sedgwick; daughters, Gwendolyn Vinson, Overland Park; Tina Knight, Carbondale, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grand children.

Services will be Friday, March 7, 2007 at First Christian Church, Sedgwick.
