Albert Ortman

Albert Ortman, 86, died Saturday at the Memorial Home, Moundridge. He was born September 12, 1922 at Newton to Fred and Christina Brubacher Ortman.

He married Clara Stahl on November 22, 1957 at Halstead He graduated from Moundridge High School in 1940 and was a farmer.

Survivors: wife, Clara of Moundridge; son, Dale Ortman (Janet), Moundridge; daughters Rita Allmon (Dean) of Lincoln, Kansas; Joyce Lindenberger (Kris), Inman and Rachel Ellis (Jim) Pensacola, Florida; sister, Leah Toevs, McPherson; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harold, Edward and Roland Ortman; 3 sisters, Emma Lohrentz, Ruth Miller and Christine Ewy.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Halstead Cemetery. A memorial service followed at the First Mennonite Church in Halstead.
