Obituary

Wanda Mulkey Sherman, 88, Sedgwick, passed away May 6, 2008 at her residence. She was born February 18, 1920 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ernest and Billie Stephens Rice. On October 2, 1943 she married Charles C. Sherman at St. Joseph, Missouri. He died July 6, 1974.

She was a memberof Sedgwick United Methodist Church, UMW, Wichita East High School Class of 1938, General Federation or Womens Clubs; Athena Club; Rainbow Club; WSU Alumni; Hicks Davison American Legion Post 971;40& 8; Society of Military Widows & NAUS; TROW-MOAA; Sedgwick Historical Society and Women's Kansas Day Club.

survivors: son, Harry Sherman, Hemet, California; daughter, Marcia Ann Nordstrom, Wichita; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, step-father, Harry F. Mulkey, Sr. and brother, Harry F. Mulkey Jr.

Services were held May 10 at the Church. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery.
