Obituary

Arlena Kaye "Peaches" Smith, 64, died November 17, 2008 at her home in Burrton. She was born February 10, 1944 in Laverne, Oklahoma, daughter of Caleb Harry and Vernice LaCrone Tolle. She was a resident of Burrton, previously living in Wichita, Madison, Battle Creek and Norfolk, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and worked as a beautician and CNA.

She belonged to St. Teresea Catholic church; was a member of the Altar Society at the church and was a member of the PTA. She was a lovely wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. ]

On June 16, 1962, she married Raymond P. Smith in Alva, Oklahoma. He survives.

Other survivors: sons, Steve Smith, Hutchinson; Joseph Smith, Atlanta and John Smith, Hutchinson; five daughters, Dorothy Harvey, Wichita; Lora Swart, Haysville; Susan Smith, Nancy Duke and Peggy Ruckle, Wichita; brother, Delbert Tolle, Enid, Oklahoma; sister, Faye Combrink, Enid; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ray Smith; sister, Bernita Edwards and her parents.

Rosary was in the Church in Hutchinson. Funeral Mass was also at the church. Burial was in Star Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas.
