Obituary

Margie Marie Wendling, 92, died January 26, 2008 at Haysville, Kansas. She was born November 26, 1915 at Lubbock, Texas, daughter of William A. and Sarah Bates Cotton.

She was a lifelong resident of the Halstead and Mt. Hope areas. She was a cashier at People Cash Grocery (Johnnies) and a homemaker. She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead.

On June 5, 1935 she married Wallace Clayton Wendling. He died December 26, 2000.

Sirvivors: son, Richard, Haysville; sister, Ida Russell, Big River, California; 3 grandsons and a great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by sons, Bobbie Gene and Larry Kent; brother, Lester, Otto, Walt and Alvin and sisters, Rena O'Neill, Lenora Rea, Pearl Wallace and Cora Cotton.

Services were held at the Sacres Heart Catholic Church, Halstead with burial in Halstead Cemetery. Memorial to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
