Marjorie J. Kasitz, 82, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at her rural Sedgwick home. She was born January 7, 1927 to Roy William Drier and Lillian Hulda Schmidt Drier-Tangeman. They preceded her in death.
On August 17. 1947, she married Allwin J. Kasitz at Highland United Church of Christ in rural Newton, where she was a lifelong member. She enjoyed square dancing and she and her husband were founding members of the Hesston Shoe Scuffers square dance club.
Family was very important to Marjorie and she greatly looked forward to visits from her loving family and friends.
Survivors: husband, Allwin Kasitz of Sedgwick; daughters, Nancy and Wayne Hubbard of St. George; Deb and C.G. McGinn of Sedgwick and Betty and Ed Smith of Halstead; Rolland Drier, Hesston; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grand children; 3 stepgrandchildren; and 8 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stefather, Henry Tangeman and an infant brother, Robert John Drier.
Services were held at Highland Trinity United Church of Christ. Buriall was at Highland Cemetery in rural Newton.
