Robert R. "Rapid" Roberts, 78, manufacturing housing foreman and truck driver, died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
He was born April 30, 1930 in Newton, son of Thomas E. "Pat" and Edith Marie Fein Roberts, both deceased. He served in the National Guard.
Survivors: sons, Robert Jr. and wife, Sue Roberts and Roderick Roberts, all of Halstead, daughters, Patti Jo Roberts and husband, Gordon Nurse, Shreveport, Louisiana and Marci Flanery Petaluma, Californi; sister, Roberta Miller, San Diego, California; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held April 29 at Halstead Cemetery. Memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice.
