Betty L. Schooenecker, 79, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Newton Medical Center. She was born October 29, 1929 in Rural Harvey County to L. S. and Sarah Lewis Crandall. She was a 1947 graduate of Sedgwick High School. She married Bart J. Schoenecker at Sacred Heart Church in Colwich in 1948.
She worked at the Union Stockyards in Wichita and was also a caring homemaker. She greatly enjoyed quilting and sewing and sharing her creations with family and friends. Her loving family and friends were very important to her and she looked forward to spending time with them.
She is preceded in death by her father, L. W. Crandall, mother, Sara Lewis Crandall; brothers, Lawrence Crandall; Gail Crandall and Delma Crandall. Survivors: husband, Bart Schoenecker of Sedgwick, daughter, Lou Ann and Shaun Corcoran of Burrton; son, Eric Schoenecker and Karen Price, Wichita. and several grandchildren.
Services were held June 24 at Hillside Cemetery.
