Betty Jean Shephered, 76, housekeeper for Hertzler Clinic, died Thursday, May 28 at Newton Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1932 at Halstead to John and Dorothy Brown Ewy. She was a lifelong Halstead resident and member of First Mennonite Church.
On August 7, 1954 she married Robert L. Shepheerd at Sedgwick. He died January 12, 1981.
Survivors: sister-in-law, Katherine Ewy, Halstead, nephew, Steve (Jill) Ewy, Halstead and niece Diane (Paul) Davison and great nieces, Katie and Konner, all of Sedgwick. She was preceded in death by a brother, Forrest Ewy.
Commital service was Monday at the Halstead Cemetery with Rev. Robert Suderman officiating.
