Richard David Hughes, 66, retired OTR truck driver, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. He was born in Halstead to Woodrow Wilson Hughes and Madge Hartzell Hughes.
He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He is survived by his children, Serena Beck and husband, John, of Boulder, Colorado; David Hughes and wife April of Burrton; Michael Hughes of Emporia and John Hughes of Halstead; 12 grandchildren; sister, Barbara Stout; many other family and friends. He is precveded in death by his parents Woodrow and Madge Hughes and brother, Gerald Hughes and sister, Beverly Krueger.
Memorials have been designated to Hospice Care of Kansas. Service pending. Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center in charge of arrangements.
