Donna Jean Regier passed away peacefully surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer.
Donna was born to Waldinar and Esther Wiebe on April 4, 1953. She grew up on a farm near Elbing. When she was 8 years old, she accepted Christ into her life. On September 16, 1978 she married the love of her life, Jerry Regier and they made their home on a farm east of Newton. They had three Children: Rachel, Melanie and Gregory.
Donna loved to teach children the Bible and taught sixth grade Sunday School class for 15 years. She loved her life on the farm; planting trees, shrubs and flowers all over the yard; working with Jerry in the fields; raising bucket calves and chidkens and visiting friends and neighbors. She loved sharing her home and love through cooking and enjoying many laughs with her children.
Survivors: husband, Jerry; daughters, Rachel (Chris) Pardee of Boston, Melanie Regier, Siloamm Spriings, Arkansas and son, Greg of Maanhattan; brothers, Doug and Gordon Wiebe and Laurence Wiebe; sisters, Florene Goering and March Dorsch. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Laura Mae and brother, Vernon.
Graveside services will be Wednesday morning followed by a celebration of Donna's life at Grace Commuity Church in Newton. (c) HCGS.
