Kier, James A.
Sedgwick Pantagraph
James A. Kier was born in Canada April 28, 1831 and died at the home of his daughter in Sedgwick, Kansas Wednesday morning, January 19, 1910, aged 78 years, 8 months, 22 days.
When a boy he moved from Canada to New York locating in Pottdam and later moved to Morrison Illinois where he was married to Lucinda 'D. Willmorth on January 24, 1856. They moved to Kansas in 1878 where their last days were spent. To them were born five children, two of whom survive; Mrs. Emma J. Dutcher and Ira Kier. The deceased uniited with the Baptist Church in Illinois. His wife died August 12, 1897.
Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Kansas.
