Stella H. Bahr, 92, Walton, Kansas, former Halstead area resident died September 15, 1990 at her home. She was born March 26, 1898 at Halstead, the daughter of Christ and Mary Ewert Berger. She married Lucas Bahr April 21, 1918 at Halstead. He died July 23, 1967. She had been a resident of Walton since 1968, formerly of Halstead, Moundridge, Newton and Burns. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton, Kansas. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia McClure, Whitewater; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, September 29 at the Halstead Cemetery, with the Rev. Dorothea Janzen and the Rev. Norman Simmons. Miller Funeral Home, Goessel, Kansas was in charge of arrangements.
