Obituary

Teasley Cortner White, born March 20. 1935, wife of James R.  White Sr., and mother of James R. White Jr. and Susan Cynthia White died September 27, 2012.  She is also survived by a sister, Susan Harris Willis, Athens, Tennessee. 

She served others at Prairie View Mental Health Center of Newton.  She was a mental health worker at Prairie View for 27 years.  She was directly supervised by Justina Neufeld in which the memorial scholarship fund is named.  She graduated from Wichita State university with a bachelor of science degree.  She enjoyed golf, riding horses and serving others.  She  helped many people through her lifetime and received help from many others also.  She  was a member of First Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School.

Services were held October 3 at First Presbyterian Church.  Memorials have been established for the Justina Neufeld Scholarship Fund and First Presbyterian Church Endowment fund.
