Mary Davis Harris, 88, died May 23, 1973 at the Mary L Home, Burrton, following a short illness. She was born November 5, 1884 at Burrton and married Harry Harris on December 14, 1904. He died in 1949. She was a lifetime resident of Burrton.
She was a member of the Burrrton United Methodist Church; OES; Past Matrons Club and OAO Club.
Survivors: sons, Harold, Halstead; Warner, Mt. Hope; daughters, Mrs. Mae Galloway and Mrs. Blanche Matlack, Wichita; Mrs. Mildred Merritt, Haven; sister, Mrs. Elizaabeth Long, Guymon, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted from the Burrton United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 26 with Rev. Victor Dellenbaugh officiating. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
