Nellie M. Nightingale, 87, died November 22, 2012 at Asbury Park in Newton. She was born August 21, 1925 to Elmer and Mattie Lee Walker Yoke in Newton. She married Elmer Nightingale September 12, 1941 in Blackfoot, Idaho. They had three children; son, Jerry Nightingale and daughters, Geneva Shive and Carrie Ayers.
Nellie was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Assembly of God and DAR-Dughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors: son, Jerry and wife, Terri Nightingale, Newton and daughter, Carrie and husband, Jim Ayers of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Nightingale; daughteer, Geneva Shive; brother, Marion Yoke; sister, Marjorie Harrigan and her father and mother, Elmer and Mattie Yoke.
Memorial services was held November 24 at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor James Ayers will be presiding. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
