Howard Roy O'Neal, 86, passed away December 4, 2012 at his home in Newton. He was born April 17, 1926, son of Frank and Genevera O'Neal in Pamona, Kansas. Howard served in the United States Army and after serving his country, went on to receive his Master's Degree in Educatioon. He retired aafter 33 years as a school teacher in Peabody, Kansas.
He married Rita Clara Mengerhausen O'Neal who preceded him in death.
Survivors: two sons, Randy and wife Michellle O'Neal, Peabody and Roger O'Neal of Newton; four grandchildren and oone great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2012 with family present at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Private family services are scheduled at a later date in Peabody, Kansas.
