Margaret L. Hobble was born in Lawrence county, Ohio on July 21, 1837 and died at the family home five miles north of Sedgwickk Kansas, September 14, 1914, aged 76 years, 1 month and 22 days
She was married to Isajah Hobble January 1, 1866 in Ohio and lived in Douglass county, Illinois until March 1876 when
the family moved to Kansas, making this state their home since that time. Seven children were born, two of whom have passed away. The husband died October 27, 1903. She leaves to mouorn her loss five children, four boys and one girl, Mrs. Carrie Osterhout of Coffeyville. The four sons, R. R., S. N., H. S. and H. R., all reside in Sedgwick township. Two children of Isaiah H obble by a former wife are yet living, E. E. Hobble of Abilene and Mrs.s Ella Mirick, of Sedgwick.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 17 at the family residence, conducted by Rev. W. A. Sprague, of the Congregational Church of Newton. Interment was made at Newton Greenwood Cemetery beside her husband and daughter..
