Kohnle, Hanna

   Hanna Parvin Kohnle was born at Kingston, Decatur Col, Indiana on August 21, 1841 and died at her home in Burrton March 21, age 70 years and 7 months.  She had rounded our her three score years and ten.  She lost her mother at the age of 9 years after which time she lived until her marriage with her uncle Samuel Parvin of Bartolph, Illinois.  She was married to John B. Kohnle  April 10 1867.

   Mr. & Mrs. Kohnle moved from Illinois in 1873.  They resided on a farm in Valley township in Reno County for about 12 years and moved to Burrton in 1885 where they have since resided.

   Mrs. Kohnle had no children of her own, but she raised from infancy withh all a mother's love and care, Mrs. Fred Arnold of Burrton, Kansas.  Her parents were Joseph Parvin and Elizabeth Hudson Parvin.

   In her fathers family were two sons and three daughters of whom Hanna was the oldest.  Two sisters and two brothers survive her.  William Parvin of Liberty, Indiana, Thomas Parvin of Burrton, Mrs. John  Thomas of Plymoth,. Ilinois and Mrs. W. C. Butler of Bartolph, Illinois.

   She has been a consistent member of the Prebyterian church of Burrton for 50 years and her loyalty will be remembered by all who knew her.

   Her long and useful life is ended, she will be missed by friends and neighbors but most sadly by those who knew her intimately in her home life.  Mr. Kohnle and all whom she loved have the heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement of a laage circle of friends and neighbors.

  Funeral servi es were held at the Church on March 22nd.  The day was very stormy, but the church was filled with friends and neighbors.
