Five children were born to them, two of thom also have gone on before to the better world. In 1887 he and his family moved to Kansas where he has lived most of the time since. Mr. Smith's death was sudden and unexpected, not withstanding his advanced age and brings to the family with whom he has resided the shock and anguish that go with the loss of a father beloved. A great many gathered at the home of his daughter to pay their last respects to one they had favoragly known for years. Rev. Ralph W. Wyrick preached a short sermom after which a goodly company followed Mr. Smith's remains to their last restiing place, the Burrton Cemetery.
