Jerry Earl Brown, 68, peacefully passed away Sunday, Janury 13, 2013 at Newton Medican Center. He was born February 26, 1944 in Wichita, son of Bert and Nellie Thornton. He was retired from Hawker Beechcraft ii Wichita. He spent a lot of time hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family on the holidays and his grand and great grandchildren were his world.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Marie Brown; daughter, Cheryl Williams; parents,; brothers, Merle and Bill Brown and sister, Freda Shell.
Survivors: sons, Larry Brown of Newton; James Brown of Peabody; daughters, Sherry Brown of Newton; Karen Whiters, Hinesville, Georgia; sister, Fran Davy, Wichita; Sharon Winters, Wichita and many grand and great grandchildren.
Services will be at Petersen's Chapen January 22. Private family burial to follow at a later date.
