Emry A. Ruth, 96, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Kidron Bethel Healthcare Center, North Newton. He was born May 10, 1916 at Moundridge to Homer G. and Lydia Krehbiel Ruth
He was a retired auto mechanic, formerly of Wichita, he was a North Newton resident since 1985.
He was a member of Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton and Newton Lions Club. On April 12,, 1941 he married Fern A. Pankratz at Moundridge. She preceded him in death March 11, 2006.
Survivors: son, Jay Ruth, Wichita; daughter, Rachel Poling, Newton; sister, Maxine (Orlando) Fast, North Newton; 2 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Elinor Ewy.
Graveside services was Friday January 18 at Halstead Cemetery, Halstead. Memorial service was at Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton with Pastor Heidi Regier Kreider officiating.
