Melvin R. Stucky, 87, died Tuesday, January 22 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born on the family farm on December 22, 1925 near Moundridge, the son of John D. and Tillie Schrag Stucky. Melvin attended schools in Moundridge.
Melvin married Aldene Fern Duerksen on June 22, 1948 in Newton. She died on December 23, 2009.
He was retired from AGCO. He loved gardening and woodworking, along with being an avid KU and KSU fan. Melvin was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Aldene and enjoyed being with his family.
Survivors: son, Richard (Barbara) of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Donna (Keith) Williams of Colorado Cpriings, Colorado; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brother, Leroy (Audrey) of Newton; sister-in-laws, Mary Ellen Stucky of Moundridge and Fern Stucky of California.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and five sisters.
Services will be January 1 8 at Koerner Heights Church of the Mennonite Brethren in Newton. Interment will follow at Restlawn Gardens of Memory.
