Robert L. "Bob" Seiler"Bob" Seiler, 91, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Halstead Health
and Rehabilitation center in Halstead. He was born September 14, 1921 in Halstead to Emil and Leona
Dirks Seiler. On May 14, 1944 he married Evelyn Unruh in McPhersonCounty and she preceded him in
death October 30, 2002.
He was an auto mechanic and machinist. He owned and operated Halstead Auto Parts on Halstead's
Main street for over 50 years. He was a recipient of Halstead's Good Neighhbor and Lifetime
Achievement Awards. He worked as a skilled machinist for 18 years at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita.
Survivors: two daughters, Jenaette DesLauriers of Tucson, Arizona; and Sheryl Swanson and
husband, Mike, of Carmel, Indiana. He is also survived by two grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by hisi parents, wife, one brother, Walter Seiler and one sister, Caroline
Unruh.
Services were held February 6 at Petersen Funeral Home with burial in Halstead Cemetery.
