Glenn L. Patrick, 86, died January 30, 2013 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
He was born July 4, 1926 in Newton to William and Helen (Unruh) Patrick. He was one of
eight chidren. He married Mary Lou Acker in Newton on April 4, 1976. They were married
for 36 years.
Glenn was a retired locomotive engineer for the railroad. He was with the railroad for 52 years
and was a steam locomotive engineer. He was a man's man, hard-working and one who
enjoyed storytelling. He was known for his good sense of humor. He loved his children,
grandchildren and Jehovah, his God.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Patrick; children, Sharen Lea Patrick, Jason and
Heidi Patrick, Jeremy and Bethany Patrick, James and Cassia Patrick and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bert, Neil, Ernest, Lawrence and Earl and
sisters Lillian Rodgers and Ruby Patrick and daughter, Michelle Lee Patrick.
Services were held February 6 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. A committal was held at
the Halstead Cemetery following the service.
