Rebecca "Becky" Ann Hjorth, 64, passed away February 24, 2013 in Peabody after a brief illness.
She was born January 24, 1949 in New London, Conn., daughter of Dean and Betty Flora Hjorth.
She grew up in Overland Park and graduated from Bird City High School, was a Job's Daughter
and later became a Kansas Certified EMT. She married Larry R. Smith on March 7, 1969 and
later married Bill Doolittle.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Hjorth and brother, John Dean Hjorth.
Survivors: sons, Mason Smith, Newton; Toby (Alicia) Smith, Goessel; Timothy Williams, Park City;
daughters, Terri Jones, Newport, Minn; Amy Smith (Dalton) Stutzman, Newton and Carissa Williams,
Victoria; and her mother, Betty Hjorth of Overland Park. She had 8 grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
Services were held March 1 at Broadway Coloniaal Funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwood
Cemetery.
