Catherine Melissa Moore, 95, passed away Feb. 1, 2013 at Newton Medical Center. She was born June 26, 1917 in Oxnard, California, daughter of Hiram Wesley and Mary Hazel McCollister Zink. She was a homemaker.
On December 24, 1937, she married Thomas C. Moore in Emporia. He passed away on December 11, 1997.
She was a member of Halstead United Methodist Church and loved to cook and spend time with her family that she adored.
Survivors: son, Donald (Anita), Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughteer Sylvia (Bill) Smith of Hesston; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and sisters, Margarite Keith and Marjorie Hope Smith.
Services were held February 4 at Hesston Mennonite Bethren Church, Hesston with Pastor Brad Burkholder officiating. Private burial was at the Hesston City Cemetery.
