Marion F. Schroeder, 80,, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Newton Presbyterian Manor. She was born July 18,
1932 in rural Odin to Ferdinand A. "Fred" and Anna Catherine Kirmer Zorn. On May
31, 1955 she married Lawrence "Bud" Schroeder in Odin. He preceded her in death
October 24, 2003.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church iin Newton. She was a member of the
Business and Professional Women; Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and the St. Mary's Catholic
Church Altar Society.
Survivors; two daughters, Donna (Bob) Brenneman and Elaine (Hank) Prouty, both of Newton; three sons, Alan (Debbie), Wichita; Keith (Tamie) Schroeder and Loren (Tawnya) Schroeder, both of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Richard, Bernard, Frank, Leonard, Elmer and Alvin and sisters, Margaret Steineer, Eleanor Hickel and Tillie Schremmer.
Funeral Mass will be Feb. 12, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Newton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Newton.
