Ethel L. Wiinters, 71, died Wednesday, March 27 at Kidron Bethel Healthcare in North Newton. She
was born February 13, 1942 to Fred and Anna E. Beisel Brunner in Marion. On June 5, 1960, she
married LeRoy "Bud" Winters in Marion. He survives.
Ethel was a homemaker and retired bookkeeper at Chisholm Middle School in Newton. She was
a 1960 graduate of Marion High School and a former member of the Circle Eight square dance club.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and greatly looked forward to spending time with
her family and friends.
Survivors: husband, LeRoy "Bud" Winters, Newton; daughters, Denise (Mike) Arrellano, Newton and
Sheryl Stevens of Wichita; sister, Evelyn Schmidt, Wichita; special "niece/sister" Jeanette Daugherty
of Salina; grandson,Jimmy; granddaughters, Taylor, Shanna and Chasity; 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, LeRoy Brunner and sister, Elnora Vajnar.
Services will be March 29 at Petersen Funeral Home and Chapel. Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens
of Memory, rural Newton.
