Donald W. Hoskinson, 90, died May 22, 2013 at his h ome in rural Burrton, Kansas. He was born
November 26, 1922 at Halstead, Kansas, son of Walter and Lorena Burnham Hoskinson.
He served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot during WWII earning the rank of Lieutenant. He was
the former owner of the Mt. Hope Sand Company Inc. and was a farmer and a member of the Pleasant
Grove United Methodist Church.
On May 8, 1947 he married Estelle Fontenot at Ville Platte, Louisiana. She survives. Other survivors
sons, David (Vivianne) Hoskinson, Burrton; Daniel (Barbara) Hoskinson, Burrton; Tom (Kim) Hoskinson, Burrton; Judy (Eric) Deist, Larned, Kansas; Donna (Jeff) Towell, Haven; Cynthia (John) Gutschenrittere, North Platte, Nevraska;
3 brothers, Doug Hoskinson and Lynn Caywood, Hutchinson; Darrell (Florence) Hoskinson, New Mexico; Dick (Verda) Hoskinson of Wichita; sister, Joanne (Bruce) Mock of Dodge City, Kansas; 128 grandchildren; 25 great
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale and grandchild, Catherine Hoskinson.
Services will be May 25, 2013 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, rural Burrton, with Pastor Mike Graber officiating. Burial will follow at the Burrton, Kansas Cemetery.
