The Jared-Cone Case Compromised

The Jared Cone Case Compromised.  Topeka, Kas., April 18 - The celebrated Jared-Cone case suit, against the Santa Fe railroad, was to-day compromised.  Cone brought suit in the Wyandotte district court for damages for injuries received while in the employ of the railroad.  The jury awarded him $50,000.  The case was then appealed to the supreme court and reversed.  It was settled to-day by the payment to Cone of $ 7,000.
