Sarah Cathariine Miller Friend, 50, died December 23, 1909 at Halstead. She was the daughter of John H. Miller. She was born in Greencastle, Pennsyllvania on April 3, 1859 and came to Kansas from Illinois in 1871. She married William W. Friend in 1900. Her father and only brother preceded her to the new world. She was a member of the M.E. Church.
