John Bertsche, age 53, died of Cancer in his mouth. He was born in Ohio. Me married Mollie Beatey in 1879 and came to Halstead in 1883. He was a thresherman during the seasons and was engaged in teaming and odd job work between seasons.
Survivors; widow; three children, including Mrs. Ben Clifford of Burrton, his aged mother, brother, three sisters.
Funeral was at his home with the Methodists officiating.
