Obituary

   William Faulkner died at his home on south Main in Halstead.  An Odd Fellow attendant sat up with hiim all night the previous night, but his condition was not considered serious.

   He was born iin Ohio in 1837.  He married Mary L. Todd in 1860,  He served in the Civil War for 3 years in an Ohio regiment.  He and Mary had 6 children.  He farmed north of Halstead in 1875.  In 1904 he married for the second time to Mrs. Maria leGard.

   He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Odd Fellows were in charge of his funeral.
