Thomas McFarland, faarmer, died January 27, 1914. He was born June 6, 1828 in Ireland. He came to the United States in 1848, first locating in New York City, where he remained for 8 years. He then went to Iowa and came from there to Kansas. He was married in 1857 to Miss Jane Gibbony, a native of Philadephia. They had five children; Mary E.; Margarete L.; Catherine A.; William I. and Thomas W.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a Mason.
