Obituary

   Samuel J. Rife died July 15, 1913 in Lake Township.  He was born in Ohio in 1852.  He was a veterinary surgeon until 1872 when he located in Indiana.  He married Sarah Debruler in 1873.  They had 9 children.  The eldest son preceded his rather to the other shore.  Survivors, Wife, daughters Bell Neuway, Dora McAuerry, Roy Greenfield, Maggie Wright, Oka Haste, Ada Tweksbury, Florence Rife and son Frank Rife of Burrton.

   Funeral was from the home.  Burial in Burrton Cemetery.
