Evelyn F. Weaver Rodgers passed away July 7, 2013. She was born December 27, 1920 in Newton to John and Edna Umholtz Weaver.
She was a nurse aid at the Bethel Home for Aged. Upon retirement she volunteered daily for the Newton Senior Center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Survivors: brothere, Edwin (Bud) Weaver; son, Vernon Scott and spouse Gloria; two daughters, Dixie Roe and Marjorie Stucky and spouse, Delmmar; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three children; Charles Scott, Gloria Humphrey and Daniel Scott.
A memorial service is scheduled for July 22 at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
