Beverly Ann Dillman Gerding, 78, died August 2, 2013 at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Jupiter Pavillion in Jupiter, Florida. She was born July 25, 1935 in Newton, the seventh child of Dearmin and Sylvia Wenger Dillman of Hesston. She attended Hesston Grade School and graduated from Newton High School in 1953 and Kansas State Teachers College in 1957. She received a master's degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She married Richard Gerding in 1962. He died in 1978. She taught secondary physicall education and English in Palm Beach County, Florida until her retirement.
Survivors: Sister, Marjorie Craig of Inman; brother, Jim Dillman of Emporia; 9 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and her four older brothers, Keith, Robert, Tom and Gene Dillman.
Funeral service will be August 9 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Hesston Cemetery.
