Mildred H. "Tudy" Moody, 81 , died Sunday August 11, 2013 at Kidron Bethel Healthcare. She was born September 10. 1931 in Newton to Theodore and Helen Wiens Reimer. On June 12, 1949 she married Charles W. Hyde in Newton and he preceded her in death. On October 20, 1990 she married Donald Moody in Newton and he survives of the home. She was a graduate of Newton High School.
Tudy was a charter member of the Trinity Heights United Meethodist Church in Newton, where she remained active in many ways in church community. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Ausxiliary, Sunflower Investment Club and peacemakers quilting circle. She enjoyed playing bridge and traveliing. She especially enjoyed trips to Costa Rica and Alaska.
She was known for excellent sewing skills and was employed as an alterations expert for Katherine's in downtown Newton for many years. She was a great mother, wife and grandma and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors: husband, Don of the home; daughter, Kathleen Washburn and Tim Brott of Skiddy, Kansas; son, Douglas Hyde and wife, Brenda of Oak Hill, Virginia; brother, Harold Reimer of Chandle, Arizona; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Charles Hyde.
Services will be August 154 at the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church.
