Jan Carol Niles, 57, died August 15, 2013 at her parent's North Newton residence. She was born February 12, 1956 in Hugoton to Clarence and Gladys Schmidt Niles. Jan was a Quality Resource Specialist for Alegent Creighton Health Services in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a member of the Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton. She enjoyed traveling, especially archeology tours. She enjoyed reading history and anthropoloogy.
Jan studied her family genealogy and wrote histories off her grandparents, Menno and Esther Schmidt and researched the Walter and Linda Niles families. She was very foud of here niece and nephew and enjoyed their company and times together.
Jan is survived by her parents, Clarence and Gladys Niles of North Newton; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Mark Stuckly of Moundridge, nephew, Matthew Stucky and niece Marike Stucky. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncle Keith Niles.
A celebration of Jan's life will be August 24 at Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton. Inurnment will be in the Bethel College Columbarium.
